New $2 Fee On Wachovia Checking Accounts

Wachovia Bank has started charging $2 a month to have a ''check image statement'' included in your monthly statement. This service includes small images of your checks that were cashed that month with your statement.

Instead of alerting customers with a separate notice, Wachovia apparently only had the notice buried in the monthly statement. This shows the importance of closely reviewing your monthly bank statements.
