Friday, August 27, 2010 - 1:15 PM
The FDIC issued this press release of its July public enforcement actions. There were 30 cease and desist consent orders and 1 prompt corrective action. The PCA was issued against Palos Bank and Trust Company, Palos Heights, IL. Some of the banks that received C&D orders include:
  • Summit Bank, Prescott, AZ
  • Metro United Bank, San Diego, CA
  • TIB Bank, Naples, FL
  • Pinnacle Bank, Orange City, FL
  • HarVest Bank of Maryland, Rockville, MD
  • Main Street Bank, Kingwood, TX
  • Cascade Bank, Everett, WA
Last Friday there were 8 bank failures. There was only one worse day for the number of bank failures since the financial crisis began (October 30, 2009). We'll see how it goes this evening.
