Kansas City, Dallas Feds Called For Rate Increase (Discount Rate)

Tuesday, September 7, 2010 - 7:17 PM
From the WSJ's Real Time Economics blog:
Two regional Federal Reserve banks continued to call for an increase in the interest rate charged to banks on emergency loans last month, despite signs that the U.S. economy’s recovery was losing steam.

Note, this is the Discount Rate and not the Federal funds rate. Last February, the Discount Rate was raised from 0.50% to 0.75%.
