There were worries that the new overdraft regulation that just took effect was going to cause a major decline of fee revenue for the banks which would lead to lower rates and more fees for us savers. This article at CUNA
reported on a study which indicates that it might not be that bad. Here's an interesting excerpt:
About 90% of overdraft revenue comes from frequent users, those with 10 or more overdrafts a year. Frequent users almost all opted in for overdraft coverage.
