Mint.Com-Like Service To Manage Bills But With A Price

Thursday, September 23, 2010 - 5:23 AM
Intuit, the company that now owns Mint.com, has launched a new service called PayTrust that "lets you receive, pay and track all of your bills in a single place - and pay them from any bank account." The big difference from Mint.com is that this isn't free. There's a $12.95/month fee. Several commenters on this MintLife blog post question if there's enough value in this service to justify the price. It's hard to justify $12.95/month when most banks offer free online bill pay.

I wonder if this is an indication that Intuit is not seeing enough profits from the free Mint.com model.
