Why QE2 Could Be A Mistake - Hurts Savers And Adds To Fed's Deficit

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 - 6:01 PM
This US News Money article has one of the best overviews that I've seen of the recent Fed history and what we may see if the Fed follows through with its Quantitative Easing #2 (QE2).

One of its reasons it gave of why QE2 could be a mistake was new to me, but it makes sense: With the expectations of an extended period of low rates, there's no rush to take out loans. So instead of increasing lending, it suppresses it.
