My bank will be discountinuing the service to buy paper bonds as of Jan. 2011. Has anyone else run into this at other banks? Is anyone even buying savings bonds at these abysmally low rates?

I am not buying savings bonds any longer but am grateful for the few I purchased between 1991 and 1993 as they are all paying much higher rates than current ones.
