A credit card chargeback can typically be done by contacting your issuing bank, and filing a complaint regarding the debit items on your credit card statement. Chargebacks are your last line of defense against dishonest or fraudulent merchants.

This infographic at has a good overview of credit and debit card chargebacks. One interesting thing to note is that it claims 6 million consumers in the US and Canada are on the chargeback black list.
