Number Of Americans Who Earned Over $5 Million In 2009

This WSJ article reviewed the Wage Statistics for 2009 from the Social Security website. It's based on compensation (wages, tips, and the like) subject to Federal income taxes, as reported by employers on Forms W-2.

The WSJ article focused on Americans who earned at least $50 million last year. That number was 72 which was down 151 in 2007.

From the stats, I thought it would be interesting to look at the smaller incomes.
