Unless you have an account with them, who cares....  Most of us don't live in Saginaw, MI and don't qualify for membership anyway.  For the lucky ones that had a 5%APY interest  reward checking up til now, they can't be shocked at it finally went away. 

it (the rate change) does reflect the overall RCA interest rate climate and landscape one way or another.  The disappearance of most 5% RCA offers lowers the customer expectation for RCA rate significantly.  Now people think that 4% is a great rate and 3% is the nominal rate (it used to be that 5% is the good rate and 4% is the average rate).
