2.52% 5-Year CD & IRA CD At Space Coast Credit Union In Florida

Space Coast Credit Union has a couple of decent long-term CD and IRA CD rates as of 11/17/2010:

• 2.52% APY 5-year CD, $500 minimum
• 2.27% APY 54-month CD, $500 minimum

One thing to note; it has a harsh early withdrawal penalty. Terms over 3-years and above have a penalty of 2-years of interest (see account disclosure).

Membership is open to all counties on the east coast of Florida and several central and west coast counties. The credit union's membership page has the full list.

CD rates in Florida seem to be lower than other parts of the country. The mortgage crisis must still be having an effect.
