Federal Reserve Orders New Stress Test For The Largest Banks

Thursday, November 18, 2010 - 8:16 AM
AP News reports on the new stress test ordered by the Federal Reserve:
The nation's largest banks must undergo new stress tests to show they can weather another recession, and the Federal Reserve said those that pass them can boost dividends paid to investors.

The results from the first stress test were released in May 2009. Out of the 19 banks that were part of last year's stress test, 10 were required to raise capital levels.
