City National Bank Cuts Reward Checking Rate To 0.75%

The top rate of City National Bank's reward checking account fell from 1.05% to 0.75% for all balances.

It looks like the lack of a balance cap and its nationwide availability were too much for this small bank. The 0.75% rate is now less than the second-tier rate of several reward checking accounts.
