Ally Bank
(
1 stars)
We opened an account with ally bank for a 5 year CD. They transferred the amount we wanted to fund the account with twice on the same day. We have called 5 times trying to get the second amount returned to us and each time they are very nice but the money has yet to be returned. It has been 13 days at this writing. We don't know what to do. So far we feel they are not to be trusted and we want to put the word out about it. When and if we get our money back we will amend this review.

1. Friday, December 24, 2010 - 7:37 AMYou are right that Ally is getting worse when something abnormal happens, like in your case. Therefore, I would not trust them with any large-sum transfers or deposits.
I suggest (it worked for me) that you bring that to Ally Executive Office, they are much more efficient and cooperative in handling such matters.
Good luck.

2. Sunday, December 26, 2010 - 7:01 PMYou need to call whatever gov agency oversees Ally Bank. This has to be reported immediately. Get your information printed off and call them tomorrow morning as soon as they open. Take notes of who you speak with. Don't give up until you are given reassurances. The gov has been very helpful in every situation that I have needed them in the past.
