Regions Bank CD Special Relationship Rates On 1/9/2011

These special Regions CD rates are not anything to get excited about, but they're a better than what most of the large banks are offering. Rates may vary by zip code. The following rates were the same for zip codes in FL, TX and MO.

As of 1/9/2011:

• 1.25% APY 14-month CD
• 1.70% APY 34-month CD
• 2.10% APY 54-month CD

Minimum deposit is $10,000, and a checking account is required and must remain open for the term of the CD.

For those who have Regions Bank CDs, it's important that you don't let them automatically renew. It might be rolled over into one of Regions' standard CDs with very low rates. For example, the 1-year CD rate is only 0.30%.
