RCB Bank's Reward Checking Balance Cap Drops From $25K To $15K

The balance cap on RCB Bank's Go Green Reward Checking Account has dropped from $25K to $15K for new customers. This is now shown on RCB Bank's website. On the plus side, the top rate of 4.10% APY continues.

For existing customers, this is taking effect on April 1st. A reader just forwarded me this email he received from RCB Bank:

Dear Customer:
Beginning April 1st, you will earn the Premium Rate on the  account balance up to $15,000 if qualifications are met.  The Base Rate will be paid on the balance over $15,000 or,  if qualifications are not met, the entire balance.
