CD Rates Posted Are Slightly Misleading

DCU requires that you have an active checking account to get the rates that are posted on Deposit Accounts.com. If you do not maintain that account and meet it's requirements, you get .25% less interest.

If you had read Ken's blog post of 1/24/11 entitled : "Top CD Rates Continue at Digital Credit Union in MA - Easy Membership" you would have seen:

Below are some of the best CD rates as listed in the DCU's rates page as of 1/24/2011. Note, these require a $25K minimum deposit ($500 for IRA) and the Loyalty Checking Plus relationship.

3.01% APY 5-year CD

2.51% APY 4-year CD

1.51% APY 1-year Add-On CD

1.35% APY 6-month Add-On CD

Without Loyalty Checking Plus relationship you'll earn 0.25% less than the rates shown above.
