It's very unusual. No interest is earned on the first $5,000, 5% - on the portion from $5,000 to $20,000, which results in 3.84% interest for a $20,000 balance. 1% interest is earned on balance above $20,000. Ken described e-checking and e-saving accounts in his post:

By "Sold Out", I presume the OP means Chartway is no longer offering either the EChecking or ESavings as new accounts...
In looking at their web site, I see absolutely no mention of either, as of today....
That's too bad because, based on residence, I could have qualified. But I don't recall ever hearing about this CU before, at least as being available in the state where I live...
