Auto insurance companies have always overcharged safe drivers who don’t drive much. The small auto insurance company MileMeter offers Texas low-mileage drivers a chance to safe a lot of money on their auto insurance. It’s not as much savings, but Progressive has started a program that can save safe and low-mileage drivers up to 30% on their insurance premiums. It’s called the Progressive Snapshot. Doughroller has a good review of how this works in his blog post. He just recently enrolled in the program so he doesn’t know how much he will save.
