End Of The Last Nationally Available 3% 5-Year CD - False Alarm

Update: It appears the wrong rates were posted at Connexus earlier today. The old rates are back! Connexus Credit Union slashed its CD rates for July:

• 2.25% APY 5-year CD for $10K+ (was 3.00%)
• 0.75% APY 1-year CD for $10K+ (was 1.75%)
• 0.75% APY 6-month CD for $10K+ (was 1.50%)

These still require the active checking account.

I was hoping the active checking requirement would allow them to continue to offer competitive CD rates, but I guess they still were able to bring in more than enough deposits.

I'm glad to report that Connexus had posted incorrect rates earlier today. The old CD rates are back, and the 3.00% APY 5-year CD ($10K minimum with active checking) remains. I just confirmed this via Connexus CU's online chat. I was little annoyed since the CSR didn't recognize the wrong rates had been posted. I wish I had taken a snapshot.
