The 25 Documents You Need Before You Die

In addition to a list of documents, this Wall Street Journal article includes some useful advice that can make it easier on your heirs. On the bank related advice, here's a good one concerning safe deposit boxes:

Be sure to list any safe-deposit boxes you own, register your spouse or child's name with the bank and ask them to sign the registration document so they can have access without securing a court order.

I think the WSJ should have titled this article "The 25 Douments Your Heirs Will Need After You Die".

If I needed those 25 documents before I could die, I would certainly not create them. {;<)
