I also found this interesting fact from the article:

In the first quarter of this year, the credit union saw a 15% rise in its deposits, to $1,233,426.

I wonder how much of those deposits are from new members opening their very competitive CDs. As I mentioned today, they have one of the top 5-year CDs in the nation, and they make it easy for anyone to qualify for membership.
