Consider Another Credit Union
Prime Financial Credit Union
(2 stars)Prime Financial Credit Union ("PFCU") is probably the most unimaginative and uninspired financial institution that you're ever likely to come across. It appears that they just assume that their members will always be their members, so why bother stoking the flames of the relationship? To make matters worse, the average age of the members probably skews to 50 or over (I'm 55), which means that PFCU will weaken and collapse over time by simple virtue of the membership dying off. This is a roundabout of saying that young people will find absolutely nothing compelling or even interesting about PFCU, leaving them free to look at other credit unions or even commercial banks. And PFCU has a nasty habit of treating new customers like criminals who need to be put through the wringer a few times. You're a good-for-nothing scammer until proven innocent.
Why would you join a credit union that has structured itself to fail over time? A better local choice would be the University of Wisconsin Credit Union or, at the federal level, Pentagon Federal or Navy Federal.
