Mail-In Deposit Issues

Pentagon Federal Credit Union (1 stars)
I am AGAIN having issues with PenFed concerning deposits that I mailed to them.   They have been really very slow to post my deposits in the past and this time it is 13 days from when I mailed to a branch 200  miles away and still not posted to my account. I could have driven there in 3 hours. Does not seem to concern them too much --I emailed to report a possible security issue  and no responxe to that.   Mail sent 1500 miles away the same day has been received several days ago.

Pen Fed will not confirm after 3  requests that the address I mailed to listed on their website is valid for mail deposits.

Very bad customer service on this matter.

anyone else have this problem ?

Chances that it is a postal issue is  highly unlikely  --- I have NEVER not had any mail not get to where I sent it.

update;    No answer at the Ft. Hood , Texas  branch phone.   254-519-7641 is the number I have ---anyone know if this is correct ?

I am really starting to have some serious concerns about penfed  ----- phone calls not answered -not even a answering machine -,  deposits lost, worthless replies to email qusetions and sometimes no repliy ------the possible security issue  I informed them about has gone unanswered.    Whether it is or isn't a legitamate security issue --it surely should be responded to.

It sure seems that they are not at all concerned with their customers  -in fact it is evident.

diamondx,

I've only ever used the Alexandira VA address.  I've never used a branch to mail a deposit.

Here are the mailing addresses for deposits:

emory -- are you the one who from penfed has been sending me worthless information. ????????? !!!!!!!

My issue is not with any future deposits  --there will not be any -----   but with a current issue.

I sent my deposit to a local branch thinking it would arrive in a couple days --it's only 200 miles away --- instead of mailing it across the country and waiting.

diamond,

No, I am only affiliated with Penfed as a member.

Have you tried phoning Penfed's published customer service number, available seven days a week?

at 800-247-5626.  Toll free in the U.S.
  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 am to 1:00 am Eastern Time
  • Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 am to 1:00 am Eastern Time
My point in publishing Penfed's mail-in deposit information was to suggest your error in sending the deposit to a non-dedicated address.  I would guess the branch sent your deposit to one of the addresses I previously listed above.   Good Luck.

What good are branch offices that can't handle a simple deposit ?    Mail in OR walk in.   Deposits have to be made in Omaha ?--- gonna piss off a lot of people that don't have the time to drive there.

i am so disgusted with PFCU.  I have filed a complaint with BBB.  I live in Fred, Va, (70 miles from Alexandria!)  I send my deposits via mail and it takes forever and I never get a satisfactory answer from these idiots.  The last straw came with I ended up with an NSF for a very large automatic debit that came 6 days after I mailed the deposit to an address 70 miles away!  Did not post for 3 more days after that.  I am currenly on my 9th day of waiting for this latest mail in deposit.  I want to know what happens to my money from the day they receive it until a good 7-9 days later when they post it.  Not that it matters,  but we have alot of money with them including many cd's, iras money markets and a half million dollar mortgage.  I'm ready to take everything out of there.
