Best Places To Order Paper Checks?

Tuesday, August 23, 2011 - 5:57 AM
Are you able to get free checks from your bank? Or do you buy them from places like Sams Club or Walmart? Or can you now live without paper checks?

Five Cent Nickel blog describes his search for checks. He was still able to get free checks from Bank of America.

That's one nice aspect of Ally Bank which offers free checks on its Interest Checking account without any special relationship.

1. Get free starter checks from banks/cc when available.

2. Carousel Checks ($5 for 75?)

3. Supervalue Ckecks (cheap)

4. Fatwallet Forums: Home of the savviest shoppers, and best freebie hunters online, $4.05 for 200 (or 250?) checks (Coupon code still works).

Why checks?  Mainly for RCA hopping:D

Used to get them from Costco for something around $11 for 2 boxes (500 checks).  If I remember correctly they included free shipping.

After mergers my local bank ended up as PNC.  They do give me free basic checks.  Write about 5 or 6 a year tops.  Use them for this a local ATM Access.

My two reward checking accounts I don't even bother with checks.
