Recovering Your Gmail Account That Has Been Hacked

This Atlantic article reminds me what happened to me about two years ago when Google deleted my bank deals blog. There's no Google contact to fix things. If you depend on a free email account, make sure you take password precautions.

Google offers a variety of automated ways for users to regain control of Gmail and other accounts they think have been hacked. The automated routines, plus an online forum moderated by Google employees, are the only help Google offers.
