Wells Fargo Changes Consumer Agreement, Banning You From Suing Them

Jason is a good consumer, and so he made sure to read through a notice from his bank, Wells Fargo, about changes to his consumer agreement. And it's a good thing he did read it, because in it, they informed him he'll no longer be able to take them to court.

So, what would be the best response? Close the account, or opt out of the new agreement?

I phoned Online banking (800.956.4442). There is no opt out option. I was also told that this part (online consumer agreement) was probably already in place, pre Wells Fargo. (I was a Wachovia conversion, originally at a bank in the 1960s.)

I suggested that I did not agree with any opitions which may limit my disagreement (court or otherwise).

Very troubling.
