This Wall Street Journal article describes four investment options that don't require an investor to try to time the markets or determine the best asset allocation. Do these provide a simple solution for investors or will they be big disappointments over the long run? The article did admit one thing:
U.S. stocks have now done worse than cash for more than a decade. And the average stock investor has actually lost money. Only those who have held gold, bonds or emerging markets are ahead of the game.
