Correcting An ACH Transfer That Goes To The Wrong Account

Like many online banks, PayPal has an ACH transfer service that allows customers to transfer money to and from their linked bank accounts. This Consumerist article describes the problems a woman is having after she used the wrong account for her linked Wells Fargo account. One usually has to confirm trial deposits when you want to link a bank account in PayPal. One of the commenters suggested that she may have linked the Wells Fargo account by sending PayPal a Wells Fargo statement rather than using trial deposits.
