Kudos to MarketUSA for disclosing the rate reduction instead of relying solely on a website update to inform customers or - worse yet- not mentioning it at all.

The monthly "your E-statement is now available" Email notice received this morning included the following: "Effective 1/1/12: VIP Platinum Tier Rate: 2.00% Annual Percentage Yield (APY); VIP Gold Tier Rate: 1.00% APY. Certain restrictions apply. Ask us for details. "
