Can Add On To Existing IRA CD Before 4/30

Navy Federal Credit Union (0 stars) - Details
If you have an existing Trad or Roth CD at Navy Federal, you can add on before April 30 and get the same rate as the existing CD.  Not on their website. They did without my asking. IRA Dept agent explained.

Cactus, Do you know if this is for new contributions only or can you add rollover $ new to an existing Navy Federal CD?

Thank you, Cactus.

I was informed that NFCU will allow additions for trustee to trustee, new contributions, or indirect rollovers to an existing IRA CD.

The IRA department told me today that the decision to allow funds to be added to existing CDs during the period January - April is not automatic, but is reviewed every year.  This "undocumented benefit" is good to keep in mind going forward.
