The so called "leaders" of our country must spend their time reading comic books all day!  WHAT is considered RICH?  We pay income taxes on the bulk of our social security income and if we are considered "rich" who are the "poor"?  The people who did the right thing and saved for their "trashed" golden years are probably using most of it to support adult children who lost jobs or have chronic medical problems.  All savings do not go for trips around the world or fancy dinners at the Ritz!  Yet we still get taxed very highly on the needed SS we receive and everything else.  Those politicians better get their heads out of their comics and do some intense research before they fool with taking social security away from ANYONE who paid in to it from years of hard work!  Rich or poor, these people trusted the government with their money and were ensured they would get it back at a certain age.  If they don't pay it back, it is no better than robbing innocent people of their money, imo.
