Review Of Joining INOVA FCU And Transferring An IRA To INOVA

INOVA Federal Credit Union (0 stars) - Details
Kevin On Investing has a useful review of his experience joining INOVA Federal Credit Union and transferring his IRAs into INOVA to take advantage of its 6-year IRA CD. Unfortunately, that 6-year CD rate has fallen, but it's still a good deal.

I also have published a short blog post that discusses the lower rates, and how this affects my evaluation of the INOVA CDs, but of course you do a great job of covering the general topic here.

As stated in Ken's most recent CD blog post, INOVA CD rates are no longer competitive, so my blog post now is obsolete. Hopefully many of you got in on the deal while the getting was good.

The rate on the 6 year step-up has drop a little more then  1%, since late March 2.40 apy rate.   From my dealings with them in late March, didn't appear they were swamped with new accounts.  The deal was around for couple of months.
