Theft Of Wallet Leads To Theft Of Money From Chase Checking & Savings Accounts

This Consumerist article describes a report from a woman who had her wallet stolen which had her Chase debit and credit cards. She immediately canceled those cards, but it didn't stop the thief from withdrawing $6,500 from her Chase checking and savings accounts. She claims that the thief was able to steal the money through a teller at a Chase branch in Chicago. Chase is currently investigating.

Chase is well-known for ****-up like that. Bear in mind (as I was told personally by a Chase senior person) that nothing is autmatic/smooth at Chase. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing at any particular moment. Chase is both un-organized (in carrying out customers' account activities) and ruthless (in getting/charging customers' money) all the time.
