Man Claims That He Accidentally Receives Millionaire Stranger's Financial Documents

Friday, April 20, 2012 - 6:06 AM
One worrisome issue is the possibility that your financial institution mistakenly mails your sensitive financial information to a wrong address. This Consumerist article reported that this allegedly happened to a man who claimed to have received a UPS express delivery from Morgan Stanley addressed to him which contained the 2011 financial statement of a complete stranger.

How could Morgan Stanely make such a mistake? There was no confirmation from Morgan Stanley that they did in fact make this mistake. Some commenters of the Consumerist article speculate of the possibility that it was sent by a scammer and not Morgan Stanley.
