REITs have long been a go-to investment for retirees looking for reliable income.

But make no mistake. Despite their ability to throw off income, REITS are still equities and can be just as volatile as other stocks.

Most anytime these sort of articles appear, the subject financial product has already run it's course, the big boys have made their money and are getting out. The media then convinces the herd to jump into these products and you can guess the result of that. Same old story, nothing to look at, keep moving as they say.
