Discover Credit Card Customer Finds Other People's Bank Accounts Linked To Her Card

This Consumerist article describes an unnerving case of a woman who discovered that her Discover Credit Card was linked to two bank accounts of strangers. When she contacted Discover, they claimed that they are fixing the problem, but they didn't know how widespread this problem was.

Logged into Discover to find a linked account also. At least it looks like it was once one of my accounts. Bank that Discover is showing I have never done business with but they took over the bank I used to do business with. Left couple years before the merger.

Guess better make sure I don't have zombie bank account floating around racking up fees.
