Easy $25 Bonus For ING Direct's Orange Savings Account

ING Direct has long had a $25 referral bonus for opening an Orange Savings Account. Here's a bonus that doesn't require a referral from an ING Direct customer. Also, it doesn't require a $250 minimum initial deposit. It's being advertised on ShareBuilder's special offers page.

Here's the offer's small print:

The $25 bonus is available only for new accounts with a new Customer as primary owner. Only one bonus will be provided per household. Bonus starts earning interest upon account opening and is available for withdrawal after 30 days.

Electric Orange Bonus

You should be able to get an additional $50 by opening ING Direct's Electric Orange account. A $50 bonus for that account has been around for a long time. Here's the link for that promotion. This does require a little work. You have to make a total of 3 Card purchases or Person2Person Payments (or any combo of the two) within 45 days of account opening.

Independence Day Specials?

You might want to hold off on the Electric Orange bonus. For the last two years, ING Direct has offered some nice EO bonuses for Independence Day ($126 in 2011 and $76 in 2010). I'm not sure if this will continue this year, but if they don't offer it, you will likely be able to fall back to this $50 bonus.
