Money Market & 15-Month CD New-Branch Specials At Burlington, MA

Salem Five is advertising the following 2 new-branch deposit specials:

1.15% APY money market account with rate guaranteed through 2012. Checking account is required
1.15% APY 15-month CD. Minimum deposit $10K ($2K for an IRA)

Specials are only available at the new Burlington Mall branch and are scheduled to end after May 2012.

These specials don't seem to be listed at the bank's website. They were advertised a Boston newspaper ad. The ad is available online here.

It is pretty sad that the 1% offer would even be called "specials."

I'm afraid I'm seeing more advertised specials with rates under 1%. I've avoided posting on these, but I may not have a choice before long.
