Origin Of Piggy Banks

Very interesting article.  It remiinded me that I don't remember ever having a "piggy" bank.  Any time I had extra change, I would find a jar on my bureau to put it in or one of my big pill bottles.  I certainly would not buy a piggy bank which had to be broken to get the money out of.  I think a lot of what we do involves the generation we are born into and the parents we have.  It's always interesting to get the historical facts about things many people do and have no reason why.  Thanks for posting it.
