Complaints Against Credit Cards No Longer A Secret
The big banks didn’t get their way this time. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau put up an online Consumer Complaint Database today that shows consumer complaints against credit card companies. It’s pretty bare-bones right now, but at least you can see the type of complaint and whether the bank responded to it.
No personal information will be in the database, only the consumer’s zip code. The CFPB puts complaints in the database after they make sure of a relationship between consumer and the card-issuing institution.
