I just noticed this Ally Bank's ice cream commercial has lived up to their commercials?

All I know is that the commercials are really obnoxious.

I'm sure that there's someone out there who has had a bad experience with Ally, but it isn't me.  They've treated me well, and their customer support is suprisingly good.  It's definitely worth the slight give in interest rates to keep my money with them.

I have the online savings from Ally for a long time, they have been serving me extremely well.  Recently I added the online interest checking account to allow more ACH transfers.  It takes only 2 minutes on the phone for it to work!

In short, Ally is one of the best banks on my list, particularlly excellent as a hub!!

Commercial means nothing to me, it is the real customer experience that counts.

Yes, up to now Ally has been treating its existing customers well by offering them "loyalty" rate increases on CDs when they renew of .50% and .25% over the published rate offered to new accounts.

However, I had an online chat with an Ally CSR just today and was told, "... the .50 offer ended back in March and currently the .25 is what we are offering for existing customers if they roll over their maturing CDs. That offer will be ending fairly shortly as well."

I'm fairly new to Ally, but pleased thus far.  On several occasions, I've had them manage an ACH transfer from my Wells Fargo checking account to my Ally MMA.  It always shows in my Ally balance within a day, but doesn't show as being debited from W-F until 2 or 3 days later.
