Ally Continues to Offer CD Renewal Bonuses

As I mentioned in March, it's common to be offered a 0.25% rate bonus for renewing your CD at Ally Bank. Jim at Bargaineering is reporting that he was just offered a 0.25% bonus on his renewing CD, and Ally continues to allow you to change terms and deposit amounts.

I have an Ally CD that was recently up for renewal. I allowed it to atuomatically renew, and they automatically gave me the extra 0.25% bonus -- didn't even have to call!

I, too, was just offered the Ally .25% renewal bonus ... and I'm disappointed. Last time I was offered a .50% bonus, and I know many others were, too.

Is anyone currently being offered the .50% bonus ... or is that a thing of the past?

Just renewed CD with Ally Bank, but had some difficulty getting rate bonus. I tried to renew using a "chat", and was told that I wasn't eligible for the rate bonus because it wasn't in the system, or that I didn't receive an e-mail stating this. I must have asked 4 times and then told Ally's Advocate to check with a supervisor. He wouldn't budge. I then called and spoke to a CSR and was informed that the rate bonus was continued through the end of June and she would renew for me including the bonus. Just beware of uninformed CSR's.
