Another 5% Reward Checking Account Falls

Mid America Bank & Trust Co. in Missouri reduced the rate of its reward checking account from 5.55% to 4.50% APY for balances up to $25K. This had been the second highest reward checking rate in the nation. The highest continues to be 6.01% APY at Golden Plains Credit Union in Kansas. Unfortunately, both of accounts are only local deals.
