Bank Failures #71 & #72 in Missouri and Illinois

Two more banks failed since my last Notice. Today's total is now up to 4 as of 6:20pm. The two failed banks are Southwest Community Bank, Springfield, Missouri and Midwest Bank and Trust Company, Elmwood Park, Illinois. The Missouri bank was small, but Midwest Bank and Trust Company was sizable with 23 branches and $3.17 billion in assets.
