Bank Failure History and 2010 Bank Failure Predictions

Calculated Risk Blog's post has some interesting charts of the bank failure history. How many bank failures should we expect for this year? CR isn't specific in his prediction:

My prediction is the FDIC will close more banks in 2010 than in 2009 (more than 140), but fewer banks than in 1989 - peak of the S&L crisis (534 banks).

I predicted 300, but based on February, it may be too high.

Four banks failed yesterday including La Jolla Bank. There was a very interesting note regarding a small Texsa bank that failed yesterday.
