Bankrate.com Finally Updates its Ratings with Sep 2009 FDIC Data

The FDIC database was updated on November 24th with Q3 2009 banking data. After almost two months, Bankrate.com has finally updated its safe and soundness ratings based on this 9/30/09 data. BauerFinancial updates its ratings much quicker.

Ken, your website is BY FAR more comprehensive and more up-to-date than Bankrate. For example, Bankrate's list of high-interest savings and checking accounts doesn't even include Incredible Bank and Alliant CU!! Depositaccounts.com/Bankdeals should be regarded as the industry standard, not Bankrate.

I agree with ichaelm that this site is the best!

But if it became the industry standard, could you imagine the FDIC ordering Ally Bank to keep its rates below the top five listed on depositaccounts.com?

Thanks guys. And thanks for your continued support.

We have many enhancements planned for the year. One of our future goals is to come up with our own rating system that'll be updated in only days after the FDIC quarterly updates.
