BB&T's $100 Checking Account Bonus Extended to 6/06/2010

BB&T has once again extended its $100 checking account bonus. It's one of the few $100 bonuses that don't require direct deposit (you can use online bill pay instead). The latest expiration date is 6/06/2010. It has been extended a few times since I first reported on it in September. The promotion is limited to Southeastern states where BB&T has branches.

Just remember...to close the account - you HAVE to go into a branch office to close the account.

They will NOT close the account over the internet...and they start charging inactivity/low balance fees if you ACH the money out.

You can mail a letter to a branch to close out the account without going to a branch.
