Capital One's $300 Checking Account Bonus - YMMV and Local Only

Capital One has another sign-up bonus for its reward checking account. I mentioned it in my recent bank bonus post. The bonus is similar to the one they had last year.

More details on this new one is available at this SlickDeals thread. If you didn't get the mailer from Capital One, it appears to be a Your-Miles-May-Vary (YMMV) deal. Also, it's only available in states where they have branches (New York, New Jersey, Texas and Louisiana).
