Chase's New 5% Cash Back Freedom Credit Card

Chase has brought back 5% cash back on its Freedom credit card. You can sign up for it at www.yourchasefreedom.com. This change was recently reviewed in the NYT Bucks Blog.

Unfortunately, the categories that qualify for the 5% cash back change each quarter. I prefer the good old days when it was always everyday purchases at supermarkets and drugstores. It's interesting to see that both Chase and Discover have similar categories for the 2nd quarter. Which one is better?

I gave up on Chase cards. Too much game-playing. And most of their cards pay off only in 2500 or 5000-point increments. Too easy to lose your bonus with all that junk.

PenFed simply credits the money the next month in your account. No games
